This is a beautiful set of four eight inch polychrome transferware plates. They are the attractive Aurora pattern created by Francis Morley & Co., Staffordshire, England, circa 1845 to 1858. The pattern consists of beautiful purple transfer scrolls, leaves and flowers highlighted in green, yellow and orange.
The plates measure approximately 8” in diameter.
They are in good antique condition having no chips, cracks or repairs, There is some wear on the finish and gold gilding as well as the normal imperfections for pottery of this age.
