This is a beautiful large blue and white transferware bowl manufactured by Brown Westhead and Moore Potteries, Staffordshire, England. The pattern is called Kew and there are lovely transfer orchids and leaves on the inside and outside of the bowl. It dates to the around 1885. The manufacturer’s mark and registry no. are on the bottom. There is also an impress mark of the manufacturers name - T. C. Brown Westhead Moore & Co., which is difficult to read.
It measures approximately 5” high and 15 1/2” in diameter.
The bowl is in very good condition. There are 3 stilt marks along the top rim and some small imperfections which occurred during manufacture.
