This is a really lovely pink luster shallow bowl or saucer with large red flowers, small blue flowers, luster and green leaves. The large flowers look like poppies. It was made in England and dates to the early 1800’s. This small bowl was probably part of a larger tea service.
It measures approximately 5 ½” in diameter and 1 ¼” high.
It is unmarked. The condition is good. The bowl has no crazing, cracks or chips but there are slight imperfections in the pottery. There are light utensil marks, slight wear on the luster banding and wear on the hand painted flowers. There is a small paint smudge on the bottom of the saucer near the rim.
This is a very lovely pattern and one that you seldom come across.
