This is a lovely early cup and saucer in a pattern that is known as sprig. It was made in England and dates to the mid 1800’s. It has a simple hand painted pattern over the glaze of small red flowers and green vines or stems that are accented with small blue dots. The cup and saucer are simply designed. The cup is footed and has an intricately molded handle.

The cup measures approximately 3 ¾” in diameter and 2 ¼” high. The saucer measures approximately 5 ¾” in diameter. Neither piece is marked or numbered. The condition is good. There are no stains, crazing, cracks or chips.
