This is a really lovely pink luster shallow bowl or saucer in an early English countryside pattern. It was made in England and dates to the early 1800’s. It is considered pink luster, but the bands and the beautiful transfer have purple hues to them that work very well together and complement each other. It has a beautiful transfer with an early English manor house set back on rolling lawns with a wooded area in the foreground. There are two deer or stags sporting antlers in the foreground and just beyond them there is a small pond with two white swans. This small bowl was probably part of a larger tea service. It measures approximately 5 ½” in diameter and 1” high. It is unmarked. The condition is good. The bowl has no crazing, cracks or chips but there are slight imperfections in the pottery. There are light knife marks, slight wear on the luster banding and very light staining on the porcelain.
This is a very lovely pattern and one that you seldom come across.
