This is a lovely wash bowl or basin and water pitcher in the green chrysanthemum pattern. It was made by the Buffalo Pottery Company and dates to between 1905 and 1910. These toilet or bathroom sets were given as premiums by the Larkin Soap Company for purchasing their products. They were also available for retail sale.
The bowl measures approximately 4 ½” high and 16” in diameter.
The pitcher measures approximately 10 ½” high and 10” in diameter.
The bowl has crazing and rather heavy staining on the bottom and around the rim and handles. There is also a small hairline on the underside that measures about 1” long.
The pitcher is clean and bright. There is some slight crazing consistent with age, but is in overall very nice condition.
