This is a very beautiful vase by Royal Bonn, a prestigious company once located in Bonn, Germany famous for the production of beautiful porcelain. It was founded by world renowned artist Franz Anton Mehlem. The company operated from 1836 to 1931.
The vase is decorated with pink and white flowers highlighted with raised gold gilding. The base of the vase is yellow with green overtones. The top of the vase is gilded.
The manufacturer’s mark is stamped on the back. It has the initials “FM” and a crown and Royal Bonn Germany. There are numbers in ink also as well as some numbers that are incised on the bottom but are too feint to read.
It is in very nice condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. There are a couple of small smudges on the back that appear to be under the glaze and would have occurred during manufacture. There is expected wear to the gold gilding around the top of the vase.
It is a nice size vase. It measures approximately 9” tall handle and is 6” in diameter.
