This is a lovely small antique plate in a pattern that is known as sprig. It was made in England and dates to the mid 1800’s. It has a simple hand painted pattern over the glaze of small green flowers or leaves on reddish stems and small red berries or dots on reddish stems. The small plate is round and has no scalloping or paneling.

The plate measures approximately 6 ½” in diameter.

It does not have a manufacture’s mark or stamp. The condition is good except for utensil marks and wear on the decoration. There are no stains, crazing, cracks or chips. There are slight imperfections in the pottery.
