This is a very nice antique white ironstone 8 ½" dinner plate by J. Clementson. It is in the Prairie shape that was popular in the late half of the 1800's. The rim is decorated with a raised wheat pattern.
The back is stamped in black with the manufacturer's mark and an impressed registry mark that is not clear or readable. We exaggerated the contrast on the photos of the marks to try to make them more legible.
It measures approximately 8 ½" in diameter.
It is in fairly nice condition. There are no chips or cracks but there are utensil marks and crazing. There is a small round imperfection in the glaze on the rim in the front. There are a few dark spots around the rim and wear on the rim.
