This is a beautiful scalloped edge 9" dinner plate. It was made by Mintons for the prestigious Bailey, Banks and Biddle Co. of Philadelphia. The pattern is called Fuchsia. The plate is scalloped and gold gilded on the rim. The rim is decorated with blue and yellow flowers. The center is pink with an off white scalloped medallion that repeats the blue and yellow flowers on the rim.
The manufacturer's mark is stamped on the bottom and dates the plate to around 1873.
The plate measures approximately 9" in diameter.
The plate is in good condition. There are no cracks or chips but there is wear to the gold gilding on the rim and on the gilding that runs through the center of the plate. There is crazing and discoloration on the back.
