This is a lovely floral flow blue plate. It is from the French faience factory of Keller & Guerin. The pattern is Eglantine Rose. The entire plate is covered with flowers. The flowers on the rim of the plate are edged in gold gilt. The plate has deep rich dark blue and lighter blue on it. The rim is edged with triangles that look like stylized hearts between the clusters of flowers.
The manufacturer's mark is stamped in blue on the back. The manufacturer's mark is very blurred and difficult to read. Impressed onto the back are the letters and number M A 6.
It dates to around the late 1800's.
The plate measures approximately 8" in diameter.
The condition is good but there is wear to the gold gilt around the flowers. There are no cracks or chips on the plate but there are three rough spots around the edge of the rim. We think these spots are just manufacturing imperfections and not chips.
