This is a beautiful Nippon hand painted green mark Moriage vase. The background is done in varying shades of gray. There are pastel color raised flowers on the front. The flowers are pink and lavender with green leaves. There is a scene of a small house on a hilly landscape with tall thin trees. There is a band of raised decoration at the top of the vase in the front. There are two handles decorated with beading and a simple line along the edge. The vase predates 1922.
The bottom is marked Hand Painted Nippon with the initials ECO within a Heart.
The vase measures approximately 7" in diameter and 13" high.
This vase is one of a pair but we decided to list them separately because one was damaged (See item RBA-P135). This vase is in very good condition, except for some flaws in the pottery itself. There are some small dimples in the finish in several places.
