This is a beautiful Nippon hand painted green mark Moriage vase. The background is done in varying shades of gray. There are pastel color raised flowers on the front. The flowers are pink and lavender with green leaves. There is a scene of a small house on a hilly landscape with tall thin trees. There is a band of raised decoration at the top of the vase in the front. There are two handles decorated with beading and a simple line along the edge. The vase predates 1922.
The bottom is marked Hand Painted Nippon with the initials ECO within a Heart.
The vase measures approximately 7" in diameter and 13" high.
This vase is one of a pair but we decided to list them separately because this one was damaged. There is a large crack that runs through it. The crack shows on the inside and on the outside. The crack is about 7" long and runs from underneath the left handle. There is also a small crack or imperfection about ¼" long just in the finish.
The vase has been priced for condition.
