This is a beautiful Chelsea porcelain cup and saucer frequently referred to as Grandmother’s China. It is beautifully designed with lightly embossed designs and raised lavender flowers on panels. The set dates to the late 1800’s or early 1900’s and the saucer has the Manufacturer’s mark. It is marked Addersley. Most Chelsea china is unmarked, so it is nice to have a piece with the maker’s mark on it. The cup measures approximately 3” high and measures 4” in diameter and is a nice size for a decent American sized cup of tea or coffee. The saucer measures approximately 6 ¼” in diameter. The condition is very good showing only slight signs of wear on the set.
