This is a very pretty set of four perfume bottles in their original box. They date back to the 1950's and were produced by a company called Cartiere not to be confused with the famous Cartier jewelers. Each of these ½ ounce bottles is clear glass with a gold tone metal cap. Each one is encased in a decorative gold tone metal with floral work and beaded banding. The box is lined with blue satin. The original atomizer is included and is in excellent condition. Three of the perfume bottles retain their original labels. Each label is numbered 1 through 3. Each label reads Cartiere (this is not Cartier the famous jewelers) with the number 1, 2, or 3, ½ OZ. perfume blended with French oils in USA, Rose D'Or of Paris Ltd., NY, NY.
All of the bottles are in beautiful condition, except for a little oxidation on one and on one the metal casing doesn't quite reach the bottom of the bottle. There is also a little oxidation on the gold tone tops. Each bottle measures approximately 1" wide on all four sides and is 2 ¼" high. The inside of the box has a circular emblem with the name Rose D'Or of Paris Ltd. The box has red felt with the name Cartiere on it and there is a crest with lions. The box is in very rough shape.
