Scarce English Jackfield Ware Black Pottery Teapot Circa Early 1800’s - image 1 of 16

This is a scarce antique teapot with a glossy black Jackfield ware glaze. It has an acorn finial, bands of beading, raised relief flowers and a bird spout.

It measures approximately 5 1/2” in diameter at it’s widest point, 6” in height and 8 1/2” from handle to spout.’

There is a small chip on one of the beads on the top rim, two tiny flakes on the inside rim where the lid rests and some wear in two spots to the blaze on the bottom rim. Otherwise it is in wonderful antique condition.

Selling this for Schell Antiques.
