This is a great old whistle made by Acme Whistles which started business prior to 1883 and is still in business today. This whistle was one of the first whistles patented by the founder, Joseph Hudson. The front is engraved “The Acme Boy Scouts Rd No. 64-0184, Patent, England.”
It dates to around 1915.
The white metal plating shows considerable wear and oxidation.
It measures approximately 3 ¾”long including the ring and is ¾” in diameter.
