This metal tin with its handle and matching lid is so charming! It is imprinted in a vintage greeting card motif with different panel for eight major holidays. The holidays are New Year with a child blowing a horn; Valentine’s day with a cupid and a heart; Easter with a girl and her bunny; St. Patrick’s Day with a child and her dog; Fourth of July with a bust of Washington, flags, and a boy with a drum; Halloween with two children and a huge jack O lantern; Thanksgiving with a pilgrim carrying a basket of food; and Christmas with a little girl and a snowman. The greeting cards are set against a background of green, the lettering is in gold, and the lid of the pail is golden in color. The metal swing handle is attached to round bails. After the lid comes off, the maker’s information imprinted on the top of the rim is visible and says, “1993 Victoria Graphics, Made in U.S.A.”
The metal pail measures 5 ¼ inches high and 6 ¾ inches in diameter. There is a very slight dip on one side of the top, a couple of little dimples on the bottom, and a couple of very light scratches. The tin is otherwise in excellent vintage condition. What a perfect addition to your holiday decorations!
