This late 1940’s wide tie in deep sienna is a perfect example of the Post World War Two “bold look,” and it definitely takes a walk on the wild side. The hand painted design features stylized stalks of flowers similar to delphiniums. The background color of deep sienna gives the blue, yellow, white, and red blooms a chance to really stand out. The fabric content of the tie is silk, but there are no maker’s labels.
This 1940’s necktie measures 49 inches in length and is a blazing 5 inches wide across the tip of the blade. It is in excellent vintage condition with no spots, stains, holes, or scents, and it has been professionally dry cleaned. Make no mistake. This bold tie has a wild side and is definitely looking for a good time!
