This 1950’s wide tie in light orange with its pine tree motif is a great tie for autumn. The design features a jacquard weave of pine cones and pine needles woven into a light orange satin background. The background has a light sheen, making the design really show up. This tie would look great with a brown or olive suit. Polyester was the latest and greatest in the 1950’s, dominating the fabric markets, and this tie is no exception. The label says “Trevira, Styled by Brentwood, 100% Polyester.”
The necktie measures 55 inches in length and is 4 ½ inches across the tip. There are several tiny thread pulls, but it is otherwise in excellent vintage condition with no spots, stains, rips, holes, or scents. It has been professionally dry cleaned. This is a great looking 1950’s necktie.
A note about the color. I was having difficulty capturing the exact color, but the photo with the label is the closest to the color in natural light.
