This 1960's skinny necktie with its rampant lion shield is a very distinguished looking tie. The tie has a diagonal textured weave with a light sheen, so the color of the tie appears as dark red, auburn, or burgundy depending on the light. A shield with a rampant lion on the top of a pillar is embroidered in light grey with the pillar stitched in a color matching the tie. The tie label says “Brown and Gesas, Distinguished Men’s Clothing, Idaho Falls, Idaho.” A smaller label gives the content and maker as “65% Acetate, 35% Rayon, Cavalier of Louisville.”
The tie measures 54 inches in length and 2 ¼ inches at the tip. It dates to the 1960’s and is in remarkable vintage condition. It is clean with no spots, stains, rips, holes, or scents. The color makes it an excellent all-occasion tie and is also great for holidays calling for red such as the Fourth of July, Christmas, and Valentine’s Day. This distinguished looking vintage skinny tie will become your favorite tie!
Gender: Male, Age Group: Adult, Color: red, Size: 54 inches
