This bold yet distinguished tie dates from the late 1940’s or early 1950’s. The basic color of the tie is black with a jacquard pattern of leaves in a higher sheen. A print pattern of white leaves echoes the theme but provides contrast. The tie is silk, but there are no fabric or maker’s labels.
This midcentury tie measures 50 inches in length and 3 ¾ inches wide at the tip. It is in excellent vintage condition and shows little or no wear. It has been professionally dry-cleaned, and there are no stains, spots, tears, or scents. This is a great looking tie, handsome and distinctive.
