This vintage handbag combines two shades of blue with two textures, and the result is a great look. The bag is structured and has a slight A-line shape with curved corners. The body of the bag is a soft vinyl in dark blue, and the flap is suede in a deep midnight blue. The handbag opens with a twist lock to reveal a black corde lining with both a slip pocket and a zippered pocket. A white maker’s mark with black lettering is attached to the front of the pocket and says, “A Life Stride Handbag.” The word “Simulated Leather” is imprinted on the bottom of the lining.
This 1970’s handbag measures 9 ½ by 7 ½ inches and it is 3 inches across the bottom. The handle has a 5 ½ inch drop. There are a few scuff marks on the suede, and the photos show some light white marks on both the front and the back as well as a reddish mark. However, after I took the photos, most of these came off with a bit of alcohol. I’ll replace the photos soon, but I wanted to make this handbag available because it is just so sweet! Other than the marks, the handbag is in excellent vintage condition with no tears, holes, stains, or scents. This two-toned handbag is a great accessory for a blue jeans day, office wear, or a night out.
