This exquisite necklace features gorgeous citrine beads, golden freshwater pearls, and gold vermeil accents. The result is stunning! The focal section is comprised of genuine faceted freeform citrine beads which range in color from amber to champagne, and they shimmer and sparkle with inner depth. The hand-faceted stones are natural with sparkling bubbles and inclusions, and they have not been dyed or heat treated. Small 14Kt gold-filled beads separate each of the citrine beads. For the segments leading away from the citrine, I chose freshwater pearls in a deep golden color, capturing them between brushed gold vermeil pyramid beads. Honey-colored carnelian tube beads lead to the clasp.
The openwork clasp is created in the shape of two leaves and connects with a hook, adding another level of artistry to this necklace. The clasp is created of gold vermeil – 24Kt gold plated over sterling silver. The necklace measures 19 inches in length.
Citrine is the birthstone for November, and the birthstone for June is the pearl. Citrine has long been considered a gemstone of happiness and joy as it is thought to remove negative energy and attract positivity. It has also been referred to as the “merchant’s stone” or the “success stone” because it is thought to bring good luck and abundance. Similarly, gold pearls symbolize prosperity and riches. Greek mythology describes pearls as tears of Aphrodite, the goddess of love. The design of this necklace combines the richness of symbolism with the luxuriance of gold, citrine, and pearls.
