A sea foam stone pendulum pendant is combined with prehnite and Swarovski crystals, and the result is magical! The pendant is created of serpentine in a lovely sea foam green, a somewhat lighter shade than the Pantone color Nile Green. It is slightly translucent, and its light color is intensified by constellations of white inclusions. The silver-plate bail is triangular in shape with inscribed horizontal striations. For the necklace, I chose prehnite beads which echo the color of the pendant. The prehnite beads are a very nice quality and are translucent, ranging in shade from soft mint green to the color of a honeydew melon. Swarovski clear crystals and silver-tone saucer beads are interspersed, adding contrast and sparkle. An antiqued toggle with rhinestones completes the design.
For the earrings, I placed Swarovski crystals and silver daisy spacers between pairs of prehnite beads. The earrings measure 1 ¾ inches from the piercing of the French-style earwires. The necklace measures 18 ½ inches in length, and the pendant is 1 ¾ by 1 ½ inches. Prehnite is considered a mystical gem and has a historical tradition of magic, prophesy, and vision. It is thought to enhance meditation and spiritual growth as well as having protective qualities. Serpentine is thought to assist in finding serenity and inner peace. The elemental properties of the gemstones, the lovely design, and the fabulous colors combine to create a necklace and earring set that is simply magical!
