Large citrine beads, golden colored freshwater pearls, and gold vermeil accents combine to create a look that is luscious and luxuriant. The freeform citrine beads range in color from amber to champagne, and they shimmer and sparkle with inner depth. Each of the genuine citrine beads is captured between brushed gold vermeil pyramid beads. I separated the pyramid beads with freshwater pearl beads of a deep golden color.
Freshwater pearl beads and small 12Kt gold-filled beads lead away from the citrine to honey colored agate tube beads, and a gold vermeil hook clasp completes the design. Gold vermeil is sterling silver which has been plated in 22Kt gold. The necklace measures 18 ½ inches in length. However, if you would like a different length, I would be happy to discuss this with you. It is a lovely length as is, but it would also look great as either a choker or as a longer necklace.
Citrine is the birthstone for November, and the birthstone for June is the pearl. Citrine has long been considered a gemstone of happiness and joy as it is thought to remove negative energy and attract positivity. It has also been referred to as the “merchant’s stone” or the “success stone” because it is thought to bring good luck and abundance. Similarly, gold pearls symbolize prosperity and riches. Greek mythology describes pearls as tears of Aphrodite, the goddess of love. The design of this necklace combines the richness of symbolism with the elegance of gold, citrine, and pearls.
