This white freshwater pearl adjustable choker combines the classic design of a pearl necklace with the sparkle of faceted rock quartz crystals. Trios of lustrous freshwater pearls are interspersed with pairs of hand-cut genuine rock quartz crystals, and tiny white seed beads provide separation for each of the beads. Pairs of rectangular white quartz beads add the final touch. To make the choker adjustable, I completed it with a silver-tone rolo chain and a silver-plate hook clasp embellished with a rope design.
The matching earrings are created from a single pearl paired with a quartz crystal. The earrings are suspended from French-style earwires and measure 1 7/8 inches from the piercing. The length of the necklace is flexible and can be adjusted from 14 ¼ inches to 18 ¼ inches.
Pearls have been called “teardrops of the moon” and are believed to be the world’s oldest gem, and the pearl is the birthstone for June. Traditionally pearls symbolize purity and spiritual transformation. These wonderful qualities augment the elegant design of this freshwater pearl necklace with its matching earrings. Pearls. Lovely and lustrous. Classic and sophisticated.
