Beautiful pair of German shoes that look like French shoes. I would not have thought they were German until I read the size number. I bought them years ago as French shoes. But being marked size 4 1/2 on the bottom, they must be German at the length they are. They look just like a Jumeau shoe with the top stitched edges. They are also signed, but I can't read it, perhaps you can, if so, please let me know so I can update this description :-). It looks like a script LL or an FF, I can't be certain. It is there incised deeply into the perfect leather sole directly under the size number, but too small for me to read or recognize. These shoes are in fabulous condition inside and out, have silk ribbon ties (may or not be the original ribbons), original stitching and no damage to the stitching or the leather. They have huge rosettes and are absolutely beautiful shoes. They measure 3" in length by 1 1/4" in width. There are antique and were most likely manufactured in about 1880 and were made in Germany.
