These were believed to be Jumeau or Bru socks for many years by the doll industry because of the "B" mark on the socks, however, this has turned out to be a myth. They were actually made by an American Company, but, of course, we all use them on our Bebe's due to the misinformation that has been given for so many years about the "B" at the top of the socks. However, they do look great on the Bebe doll as these socks were made particularly well and wide enough for a French doll leg. This pair is in great condition and are a wonderful antique sock. You will love them on any Bebe you wish to splurge on as they look beautiful on the dolls. They are great heavy socks. They are black knit socks with ecru on the foot area and ecru at the top with the famous "B" mark stitched in ecru at the top of the socks. They do not have any tears or holes in them and are in pretty great condition. The foot area measure 1 3/4" from the heel seam to the toe, they measure 4" from the heel to the top of sock and are 2" wide. Of course, there is some stretch to them if you need them to fit a doll with a slightly larger foot. These are a great find and will be wonderful on any of your antique dolls.
