First I want to say that I have not tried to clean this great Jumeau dress. I am fairly sure most of the staining will clean off. But, soak carefully, do not throw it in your washing machine, lol. It is not as noticeable in person as in the photos and will be an asset in any case, to your Jumeau doll. This is the earlier of the original factory Jumeau dresses which is obvious by the fancy yoke with ruffles, lace and silk, made by Jumeau and I find this particular Jumeau dress only on an Incised Jumeau which is earlier than the Tete Jumeau dress. However, it can be used on ANY French doll, or any period Jumeau doll. It is just rarer, prettier and fancier than the later ones. This dress was manufactured in Paris, France by the Jumeau Factory in 1878. It is a nice small size measuring 8" from neck opening to the bottom of the dress, just under 4" from shoulder to bottom of sleeve, 4" across under the yoke, which means 8" around, and 6" from under the yoke to the hem. It has a lot of lace by the yoke, ruffles on the side of the yoke, pink silk in between the lace design in the yoke, which is frayed, and lace at all the edges plus all the original pink silk ribbons under the yoke, at the hem under the lace and, at the bottom of the sleeves. This is a great small size, one I usually do not part with, as they are hard to come by. It will be wonderful on your favorite antique French or Jumeau doll.
