I assume this was made for a French Fashion due to the ring at the top of the original chain, however, I don't collect fashions and it worked out very well with my Bebe's. So, it can be for either type of doll. It is in perfect condition, except for a few of the beads that I can only see in the closeups...have rusted or tarnished, it is out of my own collection and is GREAT in this nice tiny size. It has all of it's cut steel beads including the ones at the bottom of the purse and a working clasp. It measures 2 3/4" from the silver top to the bottom of the decorative row of dangling beads, the purse itself, excluding the decoration is 2.5" and is 2" in width. The chain has a 2.5" drop excluding the ring at the top. It is marked GERMAN SILVER. It is from the 1800's and has been in my possession for about thirty years. It is fabulous purse.
