Another Christmas Card from a small collection, all dating to the early 1920's, this Card has a molded Celluloid front which is machine stitched to the main body of the card. Like the other cards from this collection, this one is not what we consider to be in a traditional Christmas style. The Celluloid features vividly colored molded Lilac flowers with other molded features, including the word 'Remembrance', highlighted in silver. The Card is inscribed inside 'From Mum To Babs With Love and Best Wishes Xmas (?) 1921'. Like the other Celluloid front card that I have for sale, this one also seems to have a spelling mistake in the printed verse - the word 'Firiside' should surely read 'Fireside'? I am beginning to think that perhaps the molded Celluloid was a novelty for the time, so not much attention was paid to the other details?
The Card measures 3 1/4 inches by just under 5 1/2 inches.
It is in very good condition with some very minor bending at the corners and some slight scuffing at the folded edge.
