Another vintage 1920's Christmas Card from a small collection. This one is from the Raphael Tuck Pot Pourri Series - which is embossed on the front of the card, with the Patent Number 2039/14. The Card is also embossed on the back 'Raphael Tuck & Sons Ltd Publishers to Their Majesties The King & Queen Produced in England'.
Just like the other cards in this collection, this Christmas Card is so unlike what we think of as a traditional Christmas Card. Not a Santa in sight! Instead, a quite contemporary design featuring an almost mirage effect Desert Scene with a Camel and with a very brightly colored embossed Jug in the foreground.
The Card is in good condition, with some surface aging and slight bends at the corners. There is an inscription inside, dated 1923, and the back has an old English currency price inscribed in pencil. There are some marks on the front, to the bottom right of the jug which are possibly part of the design - but are perhaps damage?
