A gorgeous Art Deco silver Brooch c 1920's which is almost completely covered in marcasites, which sparkle fabulously like tiny diamonds. Marked on the back '935' - a slightly higher standard of silver than sterling - the Brooch has an Egyptian influenced design which features stylized feather fan and lotus flower shapes.
The slightly curved Brooch measures 2 inches from side to side and 1 1/4 inches from top to bottom. It fastens with an earlier style safety clasp.
The Brooch is in excellent condition with a gorgeous patina to the silver. There are no missing marcasites although the one in the center is cracked, but this can only be seen using a magnifier, it still sparkles beautifully and appears to be secure in the setting.
