An unusual Victorian figural Brooch featuring a man and woman doing their best to encourage their donkey to move. Amazingly detailed, both the man and woman appear to be shouting at the poor donkey and the detail includes the man's fingers on the donkey's reins. Although the Brooch looks like silver - and polishes like silver - it tests as a base metal. I believe the brooch originates in Europe.
The Brooch measures 2 inches side to side at the widest points and 1 inch from top to bottom. It fastens with a tube hinged pin and 'C' clasp.
In excellent condition with no damage.
