A fabulous vintage Necklace which I am certain is by Miracle but the applied name plaque on the back of the pendant appears to have been blanked out in the manufacturing process - so perhaps it was made by the Miracle company for someone else. The Miracle company has been making jewelry since 1946.
In an antiqued silver tone metal this Celtic themed Necklace has a design based on a Celtic Cross and is set with 4 jadeite color glass cabochons (each measuring a fraction under 10 mm in diameter) with 6 green art glass beads (measuring 8 mm in diameter) accenting the chain and pendant drops. The silver tone chain links are patterned.
The Necklace chain measures 31 inches long and the pendant hangs 3 1/2 inches down. The Celtic Cross measures 1 3/8 inches across. There is a barrel clasp on the necklace but it doesn't appear to unscrew and as the chain is plenty long enough to slip over the head comfortably, I think that the barrel is not meant to unscrew but is there for decorative effect only.
The Necklace is in excellent condition with no damage. One of the jadeite color cabochons has a large amount of glue visible on the back of the stone which I thought was evidence of the stone being re-glued but examining the other stones I think that the glue is original as it is the same color as the glue holding the other stones in, there is just more of it. This cannot be seen from the front of the necklace.
Please note that the necklace hangs lower on the body than my photo shows - I hung it higher on the mannequin to get a clearer picture of the details.
