Such a rare color, these bright orange beads are semi translucent and contain pale swirls of opaque glass to give added interest to the beads. They are such a vivid orange they almost glow when the light hits them.
The necklace measures 15 1/2 inches long and the graduated beads measure from 5 mm in diameter to 15 mm. The beads are separated by small pale orange spacer beads and the necklace fastens with a rose gold color spring clasp which I believe is possibly gold but I have not tested it.
Although the beads are old, possibly from the 1920's or earlier, the necklace has obviously been restrung as the string is in immaculate and clean condition.
The glass beads are in excellent condition with no chips although some of the beads are quite irregularly shaped. This is not apparent when the necklace is being worn. The color of the glass is so unusual, I have never seen such bright orange beads in this shade before - unfortunately my photos just fail to capture the vibrant color completely.
