I have had this fabulous piece for a long time and hesitated to sell it because I am not entirely sure what it was designed to be worn as! But it is just too beautiful to be shut away in a draw - so if you buy it you can decide how to wear it.
By the Italian designer Marina Sinibaldi Benatti the piece measures 10 1/2 inches long so could perhaps be worn on the wrist over a chunky sweater or further up the arm above the elbow - or it was possibly designed to be worn around the ankle.
With an 800 standard Silver toggle clasp which is signed 'Marina Sinibaldi Benatti', the bracelet/anklet consists of two strands strung with raspberry red leaf shaped glass beads with the two strands joined together at intervals. Set along the length of the piece are various shaped Venetian glass beads, two of which have foiled centers. Because of the large number of glass beads, the bracelet/anklet is chunky and quite heavy - although not excessively so. The longest of the Venetian beads measures 1 3/8 inches down.
Marina Sinibaldi Benatti is better known as a clothing designer and home furnishings/home interior designer but she actually started out designing and making jewelry so pieces by this designer are probably quite rare.
The Bracelet/Anklet is in excellent condition with no damage to the fabulous glass beads.
