Set of four Dalzell Glass Works goblets in the Strawberry and Currant (sometimes called Strawberry and Pear) pattern. The goblets measure 6 1/4" and are in excellent condition. Circa 1888.
Please note the detail on the fruit and the decorative rim (at the bottom of the cup above the stem). This pattern was reissued by L.G Wright in the mid 1960's. I have both the Dalzell and Wright goblets in my possession; the Wright version is heavier, slightly taller and the details are not as sharp. Dalzell produced this pattern in clear glass only.
There are no cracks, no nicks. As with any piece of Early American Pattern Glass, there will be a few straw marks and internal bubbles. These come from the estate of a former collector and dealer. They appear to be rarely, if ever, used.
