Watson and Newell silversmiths, berry or condiment fork in the Putnam pattern, circa 1920. The fork bears the monogram R. This piece is usually called a berry fork, but can be used for olives or other relishes and condiments.
This dainty fork is 5" long and just over 1/2" at the widest point. Weight is 10.5 grams. Very good condition. The Watson and Newell hallmark is shown on the reverse. The clean Art Deco lines of "Putnam" are a departure from their earlier ornate Victorian styles.
This piece has been stored in a silver chest, and has minimal tarnish. We do not aggressively polish silver, just a gentle buff with a silver cloth.
