Set of three Dresdner Kuntsler puppets, made in Western Germany in the 1950's. Each puppet has a molded felt face, felt hands and hand-painted features. Each is a traditional hand puppet. Inside, there is a reinforced tube that supports the head, and space to inset your fingers in the arms.
These puppets were brought to the USA in the late 1950's, and have been in storage. There are no bad smells or evidence of recent damage, but they do show signs of wear, and are wrinkled from long term packing.
The policeman is 14" from top to bottom. I see no damages, just slight wear. He wears a navy blue uniform and cap with braid trim and leatherette visor.
Grandma 13", wears a bonnet with embroidered trim. She holds a lightly stuffed pillow, presumably for whacking whoever is acting up. Her clothing is in good condition, other than the back portion of her collar, which has several small holes. (See close-up.) Her apron needs to be pressed or steamed.
The 19" "naughty boy" has oversized hands and is sticking out his felt tongue. His blond hair is a mess - I think even messier than it was originally. There are several small holes in his red tunic. He wears knee pants and has long stuffed legs and leatherette shoes.
