7" shallow bowl, possibly intended for salad or soup, but equally useful as a serving bowl. It is in the Albany or Greek Key Pattern, Schlieger 107- A. The red and green backstamps are shown. It is a luminous creamy white porcelain, hand decorated with a black and gold border.
The Albany or Greek Key pattern was produced in the very early 1900s, and I have been told that the original owners received most of these pieces as a wedding gift in 1910. The design could best be described as Edwardian Classic Revival, but mixes well with both Art Deco and Modern patterns.
