This set was published in 1963 by Woman's Day Magazine. It comes from a recently closed Knitting shop, and apart from minor wear to the box, it looks like it has never been used. I have scanned the first view pages of the manual, so you can see a listing of the 176 designs included.
The subtitle to the set reads: Book of Patterns and Instructions for American Needlework : a complete manual, with step-by-step instructions for recreating 176 early American designs in embroidery, crewel work, cross-stitch, needlepoint, patchwork, applique, quilting, hooking, knitting, crochet, weaving, and candlewicking ; plus a special section on rug making.
All patterns are complete, unused and in excellent condition.
