Album of photos and postcards from the early 1930's. This appears to be a family's road trip to Yosemite National Park.
The album is 11 1/2" x 8 1/4". The cover is leather and has a hand painted "Grand Canyon from Artist Point". The front and back covers, and the inner black paper pages are bound with a leather strip.
Inside, there are 74 (total) photos and postcards. There are photos of the family - 2 children, around 5-7 years old and parents. The young boy usually wears a cowboy suit. There are photos of them at their cabin, standing in front of a geyser, feeding a fawn, greeting some bears, etc. My favorite is the little boy in his cowboy suit facing a bear. Some of the scenic photos appear to be purchased.
There are also many black and white photo postcards of the area. Many have titles (ie Cody Road to Yellowstone, etc). Lots of waterfalls, mountain scenes and old cars.
Some of the photos are missing, as there are blank spaces. I do not know what happened to these. Several are torn, and look like they were bent when the album was closed.
From the information I have, this album dates to about 1930.
Please feel free to ask questions. I am happy to send this boxed, either by media mail or priority - both at cost.
