This pair of elegant candelabras was received as a wedding gift in the late 1930's. They are 7 1/4" high. 8 1/2" at the widest point and weigh about 1.7 pounds each. Weidlich Brothers, of Bridgeport Connecticut, was in business from 1901 through 1950. The manufactured sterling silver and high quality silverplated copper flatware and hollowware.
These candelabras are marked W. B. Mfg. 2203. I am unable to find the name of the pattern; it has a traditional design with leafy scrolls.
These pieces have been in storage for many years and have moderate tarnish. I touched up a few areas with a silver-cloth and the shine came up easily. I do not see any dents. I have inspected for lost plating. I do not see anything obvious, but small areas may appear when polishing is complete. One candelabra rocks very slightly on a marble (hard) surface, but not on a tablecloth - it is 1mm or less.
I am short of assistance this season, so offer these "as is" at a reduced price. Once they have been polished, the price will certainly go up!
