Johnson Bros. platter, 14" x 11". This platter is from the older series, produced from 1930 through 1974.
The platter is brown transferware, with hand applied color to the central portion, a picture of Washington D.C. circa 1830. The transfer for this platter is based upon an engraving by George Cook "Washington as Seen From the Navy Yard".
The platter is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. There are a few very faint utensil scratches, which I have attempted to show in the photos.
