Finely detailed figural salt and pepper shakers, made in Germany, circa 1915 - 1920. There is the Crescent Moon and Crown (Reichsmark) on the base, which was compulsory for all German silver at that time.
The figures are a Dutch boy and girl, 2 3/4" high and 1 1/4" across. They are solid, heavy pieces, weighing a total of 101.2 grams. The feet may be unlocked to open the shakers.
They are in excellent condition, with a nice vintage patina that accentuates the features. They show very little signs of wear or use. A wonderful example of silver artistry of the era.
