Membership or service award pin from the Daughters of the Nile, the women's group of the Shriners. It has the scimitar sword with D of N written on it. The white enamel crescent moon is set with a Pharaoh's bust. The white enameled rose with a green stem is set between the horns of the moon. The insignia is finished with a circle of prong-set rhinestones. Two of the rhinestones have darkened noticeably, the others vary in tone from very bright and clear to slightly dark.

The pin is 1" across and has a locking ring clasp. It dates from the 1940's. The Shriners and Daughters of the Nile are benevolent organizations who are well known for their contribution of time and money to aid sick children.
