Purchased in China circa 1970, this blue and white porcelain ink box has never been used. The round porcelain box is 3 1/4" across. The red cake of ink is still sealed. The porcelain is nested in a brocade fabric covered box with two faux-ivory toggles on the side. There is a label in Chinese.
This ink cake would be used for a chop, or stamp to mark the owners papers or books.
