Beautiful soft and sleek - you'll feel so glamorous in a real mink jacket! This jacket dates from the late 1950's, but has some elements of modern styling, which make it easier to wear today. The jacket has been professionally relined in 100% Bamberg rayon/silk and the new lining is immaculate. A monogram, BPW, is embroidered on the inside lining.
Sizing vintage furs is difficult, but this seems small to medium, and I think it could fit anywhere from sizes 8 - 10 or 12. The actual bust measurement (taken on the inside) is about 42", but I recommend a few spare inches. The shoulder to shoulder measurement is 18", the length from shoulder to hem is 26" and the sleeves are 23". The sweep, or bottom measurement is 48".
The jacket has a slightly notched collar and 2 lined side pockets. The front overlaps and has 3 crochet covered fur hooks, and you can wear this open or closed, collar up or down. It has been well cared for and kept in a clean non-smoking home.
The fur is dark brown with subtle mahogany highlights, soft and supple and has a lovely sheen. There is slight wear to the fur in the armpit area, and both areas are shown in the very last photos. This is not visible when the jacket is worn.
This is a bit heavy and requires a larger box - I'll do my best to work out the most economical shipping arrangement for you - there may be options that cost a bit less than the stated postage.
